Nigredo — where every practitioner begins
The moment you create a free account and enter the Athenaeum, you're here. Your first set
of Rituals unlocks immediately, along with their companion commentary — the essays that
explain the symbolism, the tools, and the reasoning behind the practice, not just the steps.
This is the foundation everything else builds on.
Albedo
Sustained study through your first stage carries you into Albedo. Several more Rituals and
their commentary open here, and — just as significantly — this is where Agrippa's
practitioner-level Astrology unlocks for free accounts. Your saved-spread and
study-subject capacity both grow again as well.
Citrinitas
The next tier of Rituals and commentary unlocks here, continuing the same pattern —
real content, earned through real study, kept forever. Your capacity for saved work and
concurrent study climbs again, narrowing the gap between what a dedicated free account can
do and what Premium starts with.
Rubedo — the top of the free climb
The final tier of Rituals and their commentary unlocks at Rubedo, along with your free
account's maximum saved-spread and study capacity. A free account that reaches Rubedo has
earned nearly everything the library holds — Premium keeps a small, permanent edge in save
slots, study capacity, and a couple of tools found nowhere else, but the gap by this point
is deliberately narrow.
